You Have to See This!

A mini series produced on the BBC network. Margaret Hale has moved with her family from the country to a working class town. She doesn't like it at first, she meets John Thornton in his cotton mill while he's dismissing an employee rather harshly. As Matt would say, it's completely predictable, but so wonderful - it made me cry. I watched the series of four episodes on Netflix, but you can get it on Amazon or maybe rent it from your nearest video store or library. In typical romantic British fashion it ends well and it made me want to see more!

Birthday Boy!

It's Matt's 24th birthday today! Twenty-four years ago he came into the world on a blizzardy day in Rock Springs, Wyo. and I hope our babies look like he did when he was born - lots of dark hair! He constantly reminds me that he's older than me - by 4 days. I got him golf shoes (he's really loving golf lately), a new journal (he fills them up so fast) and I plan to fix him a fabulous meal before I have to (boo) go to work tonight. He returned from a work conference in Colorado yesterday and I missed him so much! It's so wonderful to have him back and I'm so thrilled to celebrate his b-day with him, the first since we've been married! This will be our third shared birthday month since we've been together!

My Band

My sister-in-law Jen posted this today and I thought it sounded so fun!

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop, Paint, or similar to put it all together.

Here's mine! Here's Matt'sThe name of the album is In the Face of More Power - the picture kind of made it hard to see that.
Made one for mom, too.

Movie Time!

I was cleaning house today and wanted to watch a cute movie. "Penelope" has recently become available to watch online with Netflix - I was so excited to hear this. I highly recommend this adorable movie - it's cute modern fairytale about loving you for you! So, if you haven't seen it you need to!I think it's one of Christina Ricci's best roles, and we all know that James McAvoy is completely charming. It's funny and so sweet!
You all know that we've raved about Netflix before - we absolutely love it, we are excited every time we find a new movie pick in the mailbox.
Another film we were able to receive lately is "The Rocker" with Dwight Schrute himself, Rainn Wilson. This movie is so funny! We had never seen it, and were totally surprised that we liked it so much! This 40 something past rocker joins his nephew's band out of necessity and the hilarity ensues. One more movie pick for you today. My friend Allison and I planned a day to go out to see "He's Just Not That Into You," but there were no theatre times that would work around our schedules so we chose "New In Town" starring Rene Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr.A simple tale about a girl forced out of her comfort zone when she is sent from Miami to Minnesota to oversee a major change in the manufacturing company she works for. But I feel the star of the movie is Siobhan Fallon, who you may know from "Men In Black" or "Fools Rush In." I loved her in this movie as Blanche Gunderson, she's so unexpected and brilliant!Happy movie watching everyone!

What happened to Joaquin Phoenix?

Take a look at this. How weird, huh?

My Valentine!

My Valentine is unlike anyone you've ever met before. From the very start I was able to be myself around him, I never felt self conscience or nervous about what I was saying when with him. The first time I told him, 'I love you," my heart was pounding out of my chest and he said it back right away! He asked me to marry him at 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Logan Tabernacle - it was so us, very spontaneous and quirky. I love my wonderful husband with all my heart - he's the most caring, giving and loving man I have ever met. I'm definitely the luckiest girl ever! I love my man!!

This post is mostly for Megan, who will be a beautiful bride soon, just in case she wanted to see a little more of Rebekah's forte. Some bridals, too! I absolutely love them!P.S. I finally got a new phone after three weeks of silence! Here is the winner:

Photo Tag (via Tasha)

Here's the game:
1) Go to your picture folder, or wherever you store your photos on your computer
2) Go to the sixth folder and pick the sixth picture
3) Post it on your blog and tell the story that goes along with the picture
4) Tag four friends to do the same
This is Allison, Maria and Megan. They were my roommates during our 2005-2006 school year at Utah State University. I wasn't actually with them when this picture was taken, it was a birthday dinner for our other roommate Jessica. I had gone home for the weekend (which was the norm for me early on in my college career). I absolutely love these girls - we had such a fantastic time together! I will always have fond memories of Merrill Hall 310 and the girls that have made my life so wonderful!
Allison is now married and living just down the street from me. Maria is also married (to a guy I went to high school with, what a small world), and living in the Salt Lake Valley. Megan is currently on her way to Sweeden, or Finland (I'm sorry I don't remember) to serve an LDS mission - what a fabulous missionary she will make, she has such an outgoing personality!
Jessica and Cyndi - who are pictured below - were so amazing as well. Jess is in England on a mission - she will be so incredible as a missionary, she has a glow about her that is indescribable. Cyndi just graduated with her bachelors in English, Technical Writing and is living in West Valley while starting a new career.
College is the best, you meet people that are your friends forever! I also met my husband at Utah State - so I pretty much think it's the best place!
Thanks Tasha for the tag and I'm going to be a copy cat and say that if you read this you're tagged!
And while we're at it, here are some more from our girlie time at USU.The infamous Napoleon Dynamite tour in Preston, Idaho.Me and JessMeg had just gotten back from the dentist, funny smile! :)

Beating the Monday Blues!

Today was a whirl wind of frustrating happenings. Matt lost his jump drive containing info for a project he is working on. Also, I was working on our computer when it suddenly froze and deleted all I had put into my document. I was unable to get to the store today, so we only have chili and left-over mac and cheese (we do have more than this, but nothing that doesn't require something we don't have). so on this crazy Monday I thought I'd make a list of all the things that are going right, and ways to dissuade the Monday Blues.
- the sun was shining today!
- my husband is so wonderful!
- "CSI New York" is super interesting ( I had never watched it before).
- spending time with my husband is so much fun!
- life is so good!
- I get to spend tomorrow babysitting!
- we finally got pictures hung on our walls!
- I get paid this week.
- nothing is better than climbing in bed after a long day!
Getting rid of your Monday downs is simple. Think of all the things that made you happy today! If that doesn't work spend some time watching "Bride Wars," (it was so cute) or going out to dinner with someone special. You can always use a break from your busy, stressful life! At least the weather is getting a bit warmer!Cute pictures do the trick as well!
